Idle/Angel Series
For all intensive purposes, I ended the past year chasing larger format shoots based on themes that peaked my interest. I set out to tap into topics that lied deep below the surface, while simultaneously, creating images that even satisfied the viewer on first look. The result was a series that I deemed, Idle/Angels.
I wanted to play with the juxtaposition of the belief that an angel is a divine, heavenly being in contrast with the idea that angels are among us, roaming this world. The series exists in 4 parts, each using a different angel and offering a different perspective of how these angels exist in this world.
What Lewana brought to the series is a softness and warmth, yet imagery that makes the audience feel drawn to the character in the concept that we were trying to deliver. Expect to see us working further in the future and expect more concepts challenging reality.
